Back from The Cotton South!

Hi All!  Wow!  We’re back from The Cotton South Fine Arts Festival in Madison, GA, and what a wonderful weekend it was!  The show was great, the weather was great, the people were great — an all-around terrific experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many people — the community in Madison was entirely welcoming and supportive of all the artists at this show.  The hospitality was most evident in the way so many opened their homes to artists to stay for the weekend — a real treat!  If you are ever in those parts you really should drop into Madison — delightful!

And now — thank you, thank you, thank you to all who came out and supported me  — you all know who you are.  It’s a thrill for any artist/artisan/creator to see that people really like and admire their work.  You all made my weekend!

So it’s back to work to prepare for the next show — The Harvest Market in Rosemary Beach, FL on Oct. 26.  We are looking forward to going back to Rosemary Beach — a place we really love!

Now for a few pictures.  I’m showing you the Christmas Clips in the first picture.  One or two sold, but it is a little early yet, so I have much higher expectations at the next to shows which will be geared more toward the holiday season.  The next picture is of the Clips & Chains — those were very popular (thank you everyone!) and I will be very busy making more for the next shows.  The third picture is of my new and improved back table.  If you ever saw it before, you know just how big an improvement this is.

And lastly — my Trusty Assistant hard at work.  ; )  (Actually — he knows I could never do it without him — he is a huge part of my success!  And I love him a lot!  I just couldn’t resist this photo opportunity.)

Here’s a picture of a cameo necklace I recently made for a very special girl in my life.  She and I went antiquing  while she was visiting and she was instantly drawn to this beautiful set of cameo earrings — now a necklace!  I have a few more cameos laying around — I think I’ll make a small line to take to my upcoming shows.  Who can resist something as pretty and feminine as a cameo?IMG_7565

Happy Fan!

I thought I’d share with you a custom piece I recently made — a friend of mine asked me to make a Clip & Chain for her friend of hers.  Can you guess what it’s all about?  I’ll give you a hint.  I live in Alabama.  The colors orange and blue are worn by many, many people who live in Alabama.  It has to do with sports…

Here’s a picture of the finished piece.  And another of the Happy Fan (with me)!  We’re sporting our Clips & Chains!
