Hope to see you there!
Just a friendly reminder that this Saturday (October 22) is the Fall Open House. Stop by any time between 11am and 4pm to browse, visit, and get ahead on your Christmas shopping…
Take a look at these teaser-pictures…
Hope to see you this Saturday!
Hello Friends! It’s been such a long time since I’ve been here — TOO long! I hope you all are enjoying the slight, but noticeable change in the weather. Is fall just around the corner? I know it’s here on the calendar, but…
I would like to show you a few of the pieces I’ve been working on lately. I’m focusing on metal-work at the moment. Today I’m showing you a sampling of necklaces. Earrings and bracelets will be coming soon…. Take a look — I hope you like what you see!
Also, this is a friendly reminder that the Fall Open House is coming up — Saturday, October 22 from 11am-4pm. (7405 Samples Field Rd, Cumming). This is a great opportunity to browse without crowds, to get ahead on your Holiday shopping, and to discuss design options for custom orders. If the timing of this open house is off for you, you may consider scheduling a private time for you and your friends to visit The Studio, or planning a “Hostess Party” at The Studio or your home. Call me at 334-782-0963.
I hope you all had a blessed Christmas Season. I know our holidays went by way to quickly. It’s always a joy to come together again with family and friends, but also sad to say good-bye! Now we have other future visits to look forward to…
I want to take this quick opportunity to let you know that I’m going to be more active on Facebook. You may find more and other information about Laural Designs there. As always, thank you for your interest and support!
Wow! The Fall Open House was a great success — thank you so much to all who made the trip out to the studio! There were many who drove quite a distance — very much appreciated! I am always so thankful and humbled by the great support you all show me. And I so much enjoy seeing old friends and making new — such great fun! I just want to show off a couple of commissioned pieces — take a look at the pictures and think about the items you have that are in need of renewal of life. Let’s get together and talk about new designs!
A pair of Grandmother’s clip-on earrings updated for a more modern and wearable style.
Here are some new necklaces — just completed. These are a nice length — they can be worn in a single strand, or doubled if you like a shorter look. Each necklace is composed of a single type of bead with a few contrasting beads on the back — all semi-precious. A unique and stylish focal is the centerpiece. You can see the genuine skeleton keys I brought back from the markets of France this summer — which I enameled with beautiful bright colors. All of these will be in The Shop in the next day or two…feel free to take a closer look!
Here is an official invitation for you to sign up for the Charm Bracelet Class. These pictures are examples of what we will be working on. This is a great opportunity to not only learn some basic jewelry-making skills, but also to create something hand-made — either as a treat for yourself, or as a gift for someone special. You need only bring yourself — all tools, metal charms, and miscellaneous beads of various sizes and colors are provided. Also, make two pairs of earrings with sterling silver ear wires (provided). There are two dates to choose from for this class. Space is limited — sign up soon! Light snacks will be provided.
Click on The Shop; click on the Square Market link; scroll to the bottom of the page to Other; click on the picture of the bracelets for all information and payment.
Date: Saturday, Oct 21 AND Saturday, Nov. 21
Time: 10am – 1pm
Place: 7405 Samples Field Rd; Cumming, GA; 30040
Consider this an official notification of another Studio Event taking place with Laural Designs Jewelry. This will be an Open House for a more private and relaxed shopping experience, and the timing is just right for Christmas shopping! You can never go wrong giving someone a hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind designed piece of jewelry.
As always, if you have special pieces of your own that you would like to remake into something more updated, breathe new life into, or repurpose, feel free to bring them with you so we can take a look together and discuss options!
Information for Open House:

I hope to see you there!
Wow! We had a terrific start of the fall show season last weekend at the Roswell Arts Festival. Thank you so much for being there and supporting me! I am so appreciative of all of you — you truly make it great! It was so wonderful to see familiar faces and friends, and also to see new faces and make new friends.
Above you can see something new I’ve been working on for this season — enameled cuff bracelets. These are enameled copper attached with micro-hardware to etched brass. As always, my bracelets have an attractive “anchor” stone attached to minimize traveling around the arm. Thank you to those of you who loved this new cuff and are now wearing one of your own!
I have one more local show for the fall season — Chastain Arts Festival held the weekend of Nov 7-8. I hope to see you all there! For my other shows, you can find me at The Hermitage in Nashville, TN the weekend of Sept 3-4, and again in downtown Franklin, TN for The Pumpkinfest on Saturday, Oct 24. I will update any other upcoming shows.
Again — thank you, thank you, thank you!
I hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season. We are feeling so very blessed to have all our sons — and daughter-in-law — with us for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. We plan to eat great food — my husband’s new smoker is going to be put to good use; drink great wine — our stash that we brought back from Europe with us is dwindling, sadly; and generally enjoy each other’s company and conversation — nice and relaxing!
I want to let you know that I have been stocking The Shop with new items. I have posted a good number of pieces — a badly needed update to The Shop! Thank you, everyone, for your patience — truly, we are not sad to see this super-busy year end!
Also, don’t forget, I am newly on Facebook where my website/shop is linked. It would be great if you could “like” my Facebook if you happen to get over to it. A big thanks to my daughter-in-law who is a terrific help with that for me!
I with you all a very Merry Christmas or a Happy Hanukkah! Many blessings to all!
